Since the beginning of 2015 Vladivostok quickly took the lead in the ranking of preferences of individual tourists from other countries.
In mid-May, the online agency Tripsta presented an analysis of inbound tourism market. The agency analyzed the bookings made by foreign travelers in January-April 2015.
The first two places, as expected, went to Moscow and St. Petersburg. But the third place receives Vladivostok. If in 2014 our city was not included even in the “top ten” leaders, today it appeared in the first “three”.
Vladivostok overtaken Rostov, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Sochi, Irkutsk, Krasnodar, Omsk, Kaliningrad.
The rise in popularity of Vladivostok against a background of increasing numbers of tourists to Russia from the countries of Asia: China, South Korea and Japan.
Earlier Visitvl.ru reported that according to statistics maintained by the beginning of the year, Vladivostok took third place in Russia on attendance by tourists from China.
