“Krasnii Vympel” – a Soviet patrol boat, which is one of the five ships-museums in Russia.
It was launched in 1910. It was originally a yacht named “Admiral Zavoiko”, which was used for the needs of the Kamchatka governor.
Later it became military ship. In 1923 the boat was transferred to the class of patrol ships and renamed “Krasnii Vympel”.
The ship took part in ta variety of geographical expeditions.
In 1958 the ship was put on eternal parking in the Golden Horn Bay.
In 2014 the ship experienced a major overhaul.
At present the “Krasnii Vympel” stands on the waterfront of Vladivostok, where you can look at it from the side or enter for a small fee.
By the way, just in front of the “Krasnii Vympel” it is another legendary ship – submarine S-56.
